Steps to Create Your Own Skin

Although iPhones have all the features who can dream about in phone they do lack the individuality as it is very popular mass produced product. All it takes is a couple of hours to create your own skin for your iPhone and does not involve a great amount of expertise. 1. Take a piece of cloth and put the iPhone on it with it face pointing down to the cloth. Then with the help of a normal size tracing paper try and trace back portion of the phone. You can use a permanent sketch pen to mark the size of the phone on the tracing paper and let it dry for a couple of seconds. This would be the 1st step to create your own skin.

2. To create your own skin you need a good picture of the outline of the phone. Place the tracing paper with the outline of the shape of the iPhone and put in inside the scanner, opening its lid. Using the scanner make a picture by copying tracing paper.

3. Running the image or graphical art programs is an important step to create your own skin. You have got to load the picture which is there in the tracing paper. Design an image in side the outline of the phone's back which you drew in the tracing paper.

4. Put in a couple of sheets of sticker papers into a inkjet color printer. Switch it on and start printing the picture of skin in to one of the sheet of the sticker picture. Also print the second copy on the other sheet of sticker paper as a back up, which is very important when you create your own skin as even if one copy is damaged or misplaced you can use the other.

5. Pick up pieces of card boards and stick the couple of sheets of sticker paper on it. Then using an Exacto Knife cut around the outline of the picture in the cardboard. Discard the rest of the cardboard as well as the sticker paper as they are not needed to create your own skin.

6. Now comes the most important step to create your own skin, place the iPhone facing down on a clean cloth. Remove the backing off the skin's picture in order to reveal the side which is sticky. Place the skin now on to the back of iPhone. You would have to start at the top the iPhone and then move the skin downwards.

7. The final step to create your own skin is to take a small piece of the cardboard and to press it gently on the skin in order to remove any sort of wrinkles in the sticker or bumps.
